Meet Dr. Rutendo Chikuku, Au.D.
My name is Rutendo Chikuku and I have been practicing audiology since 2016. I earned my Doctor of Audiology from Indiana University, where I was awarded the Lentz Lab Graduate Fellowship and the Outstanding Audiology Achievement Award, and I completed a clinical research fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Much of my career has centered on making quality hearing care easier for families to reach. At a specialty physicians group in Washington state I served as clinic lead for pediatric services and built the pediatric audiology department from the ground up, bringing testing into the community that families previously had to travel for. I also mentor students through their clinical practicum hours, because the next generation of audiologists matters as much as the patients sitting in front of me today.
I am board certified through the American Board of Audiology. Before audiology I studied chemistry and biochemistry at Lindenwood University, graduating magna cum laude, and I later earned my MBA from Emory University.
I am thrilled to be at Central Maine Audiology and I look forward to working with you on the path to better hearing health.
